Legend of the Guardians Mask: Wordless/Wordful Wednesday

in Wordful Wednesday,Wordless Wednesday

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Wordless/Wordful Wednesday post.  Mostly because it’s been so busy, but mostly because I keep forgetting to download pictures off my camera.  This is worth the wait, though.  Of all the pictures I’ve taken with WW in mind, I think this one is the most fun.  But that’s for you to decide.

Some of you may know that after Princess Nagger and I saw The Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga’Hoole how obsessed she’s been with owls.  Or maybe not.  Unless you were around for her dressing up as one of the main owl characters, Soren, for Halloween.

Along with dinosaurs and dragons, owls have become her additional favorite thing.  She’s still adamant that she’ll be a Paleontologist when she grows up, so the dinosaurs are still in the forefront of her mind, she’s just added a new love to the mix.  Recently she decided to make herself a Guardian mask, like what they had on in the movie:

Here’s what she came up with, strictly from memory and the creativity if her own mind:

The pictures certainly don’t do it (or her) justice, but I think she makes a pretty darn cute Guardian, don’t you?

Good for her to have an affinity with owls. I do too and so does my hubby. We have an owl here who talks and talks and enjoy every hoot.

That’s really neat. Anytime you can get them to create something off a movie or book is great! My boy’s are stuck on Toy Story. I can’t seem to get them off of it. ;)

That is so adorable! Most children ignore the side they can’t see so I give her extra points for doing the back.

Btw, my boys and I LOVED that movie

Princess Nagger (now THAT paints a picture!) should be re-christened Princess Talented! She did an amazing job!

I haven’t seen the movie but have read the first books in the series. She does indeed look like she’d make a wonderful Guardian.

That is awesome. I want one. I totally love the imagination of a child. It is totally priceless, and man PN sure does have a colorful imagination. It would not surprise me if she became one of those cartoonists at Disney or something like that. Yep, she definitely belongs in movies. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

She is so creative. Turbo loved How To Train Your Dragon and is now obsessed with Legos. And I do mean obsessed–like no I don’t want to watch TV now I’m playing with my Legos obsessed.
