It’s that time of year when I usually start thinking about what cards I’ll be sending out to family and friends.  Last year I totally procrastinated and ended up not sending out anyAt all.  I know, I suck sometimes.  But not this year.  I’m determined to send out cool and unique Christmas cards this year, and already have my mailing list mostly updated so I don’t leave anyone out.

I’m also always on the lookout for unique deer cards since I’m as passionate about collecting deer items as Princess Nagger is about collecting dinosaur items.  Of course it’s much easier to find cool deer Christmas cards this time of year than it is to find dinosaur ones, or I might have considered letting her have a say in the design of them.  Maybe next year.

I love it when I get a photo card – my brother and his wife are awesome about making sure we get one every year so we can see how big the twins are getting.  I usually buy ‘regular’ Christmas cards and include pictures of Princess Nagger, but this year I thought it would be fun to do photo cards.  Storkie Express helped me get the ball rolling.

Who or what is Storkie Express ?  They specialize in stylish invitations and announcements and all kinds of cards.  All of their creations include:

  • High Quality Cardstock
  • Raised or Digital Printing
  • Free digital proofing
  • Exclusive Designs
  • Low Price Guarantee
  • Great Customer Service
  • Safe Online Shopping

I browsed through their selection of Holiday cards (and they have tons to choose from) and finally found one that I knew my friends and family would recognize as from me (aside from Princess Nagger’s mug being on it):

The scanned image doesn’t show the vibrant color it is – sorry about that, but you get the idea.  I was in a hurry to take these for a test drive, so I used this year’s school picture of Princess Nagger – since there are only 20 in the box, I’ll be ordering more (and selecting a couple of different ones – good to have variety) with a picture I’ll take special for the cards.  I love these, though!  I love how they turned out, they are high quality and something I’ll proudly send off to my family and friends this year.

Making the selection and customizing them was really easy – they have helpful hints every step along they way, so even if you’re technology challenged, you’ll have no problem looking like a pro customizing cards of your own.  From choosing the style to selecting what verbiage you want on the cards (and even that is totally customizable, too – you can have it say exactly what you want it to!) it was all very easy.  When I made a mistake on my final order, they were quick in responding to my desperate email – and fixed it for me.  All the contact I’ve had with them thus far has been friendly and professional – exactly the kind of company I want to do business with.

It’s not too late – you have plenty of time to pick your own cool cards to mail out.  I highly recommend them.  They have plenty to choose from – even non-photo versions for those who like cool basic cards.

Do you send out Holiday cards?  And if so, when do you usually send them out?  Oh, and if you want to be added to my Holiday Card list, email me – I’ll be happy to send you a fun card, too.

  1. I’m a Christmas Card sending nut, and I love getting them because I decorate my door each year with present Christmas cards & kitchen door gets my favorite Christmas Cards from last year. ~hehehe~ Then I decorate my Christmas storage boxes with Christmas cards too, and sometimes I rip off the picture, and use them for To & From tags when I run out at the last minute. So, I save everyone I get. HEY, DON’T FORGET ME THIS YEAR! Yours are wonderful – love your choice and great pic of PN duh little cutie pie!

  2. I do send out Holiday cards – my favorites for the last couple of years have been Anne Taintor’s snarky and hilarious cards – but, like you, I procrastinated last year and never sent them. But I will this year…oh, yes.

  3. I love your cards Stacy! I’m a non-card sender. I sent them out when my 1st husband and I first got married but then after we started having kids, I quit. I don’t know why. I really should send them.

p.s. Your Comment Luv button hasn’t worked for me in a month or so. I don’t know if it’s just me or for everyone but I wanted to tell you. It works for me on other blogs so IDK why it’s like that here..

  4. I was seriously thinking of not sending cards this year – I mean with facebook everyone sees all our pics anyway (I usually send a photo card) — but I’m sure my husband will guilt me into continuing the practice (especially since it doesn’t involve him in any way 😉

  5. I’ve never done a photo card. I am always buying boxed cards, especially after Christmas at half price. We are going to try to do a picture on Saturday to place in my cards this year. Wish me luck!
