Did You Miss Me?

I’m back!  I’ve been going through some major withdrawals whilst juggling some curve balls and dealing with various unbloggables – I can’t believe I’ve been away from the blogosphere for three whole weeks! Some of the unbloggable is still unbloggable – but at least some of it has settled down a bit so I can finally start to get back into a ‘normal’ routine.  Much better than an abnormal routine.  I’m looking forward to when some of the antics that have been going on will be resolved so I can sort of blog about it and not be stuck in a cheesy Lifetime Movie.

I can’t believe how fast the summer months have flown by – Princess Nagger starts school on Wednesday.  I suppose I better start going through her wardrobe and piles’o’clothes to make sure she has things that fit for the school year.  It’s hard to sort through ‘warm’ clothing when it’s been so stinkin’ hot around here the past few weeks.

I wanted to post some pictures today, but my camera went missing for over a week, so the pictures are still stuck on the camera.  Luckily I found it yesterday, so I’ll be able to do some catching up – and at least I found it before the first day of school – I don’t want to miss out on that photo op!

Meanwhile, just as the summer break is coming to a close, my hubby generously shared his yucky cold with me.  So if I’m a little bit loopy as I make an attempt to flit around and play some catch-up in the blogosphere you’ll know why.  Well, loopier than usual.

I also discovered this weekend that somehow all my links were turning into a 404 Error – no idea what happened, but I ended up spending a majority of the day on Saturday reinstalling the software to make sure the most recent upgrade was installed correctly.  That seemed to do the trick and the links all seem to be working now.  Fingers crossed. I’m not sure how long the problem was going on, so my apologies if you were having trouble with my blog during my absence.

We’ve been having some majorly hot days weeks lately – I’m ready for fall to get here already.  It’s been a long, hot summer and I’m ready for a break from the excessive heat.  Don’t remind me that I said that when we end up with frigid cold temperatures later in the year.  I actually do prefer cold vs. hot – you can layer to keep warm, but you can only take so many clothes off to cool off when it’s hot!

Are you ready for summer to come to an end?

About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.

  1. I was just thinking about you yesterday! I was in a children’s store and they had these stick on vinyl chalkboards, in the shape of a dinosaur. I immediately thought of Princess nagger!

  2. Well, there you are! You BET I missed you!

As for the summer, yeah, it’s been warm here, but my son and other family have been dealing with temperatures over 100 for more than a month now, so I feel kinda silly complaining about it being in the upper 80s here. And, I hate winter (although, not as much as I did when I moved up here 5 years ago), so I don’t really want the warm weather to end. Although I love fall – can we bypass all the cold and snow and grayness and go directly to spring afterwards?

  3. Welcome back!

The summer weather is terrible, it’s too hot and I’m sweating every minute of the day. I just want winter to come a bit faster, though at the rate summer is speeding, I think that’s a possibility! xx

  4. Damn straight your sunshine has been missed! I’m out of town and even though I had to wipe out my Google posts due to neglect, I had to come here and welcome you back!!!

  5. Fall is my favourite time of year, so yes, I am ready for summer to come to an end. My older kids go to school two weeks tomorrow, and Jillian goes three weeks tomorrow.

Glad to hear that you’re almost out of the weeds. We do miss you while you’re trying to gather your eggs.

I am very ready for summer to be gone! I had to buy LG 3T short sleeved shirts this month since he’s grown and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight! I had hoped we’d be able to squeeze out the 2Ts until the fall cool, but I’m pretty sure we’re going from 90 to 0 in a few days in November this year…

  9. Glad you’re back! Good to hear form you again. And yeah, I’m really looking forward to fall, it’s lovely here in the fall.

Back to school photo ops never stop really. My oldest daughter went back to school today, for nursing, she’s 25. Would it be weird to stand outside of the college and photograph her when she comes out? Nah!
Hope things settle down for you quick, sorry you’ve been having a hard time of things. Hugs. xo d
