Wordless/Wordful Wednesday – The Games We Play

Imagination is a wonderful thing.  Princess Nagger was blessed with a very creative one.  School’s been out for one full week – and these are some of the things we’ve been doing to keep busy and have some fun:

Making a sand castle:

A Sand Turtle:

Travis seemed a bit jealous of me taking pictures of the sand turtle, so he had to get in the frame for a shot:

Wonder where the little bit of sand came from?  Since our most recent wind/rain storm blew the lid off Princess Nagger’s sand box and littered her sand with debris and leaves, hubby ‘borrowed’ the sand from it to fill in around the bricks that he fixed next to the Summer House:

She’ll be getting fresh sand for her sand box this weekend.  But she did notice a small pile next to the grill that hubby didn’t use – and since it had rained, it was wet…the perfect way to make a sand castle.  She filled up her little sand castle mold and moved the pile out to the middle of the brick patio – and had quite a bit of fun playing with that little bit of sand.

Along with pretending to be at the beach, she enjoyed some Giraffalaff Limbo:

Monopoly City:

And hours of Rope Swing Olympics:

11 weeks of Summer Break left – we’ll see how creative we can be until it’s time for school to start again. How’s your Summer Break going so far?

About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.

  3. Oh, I miss those days of summer vacation! Summer vacation at our house consists of driving The Young One to and from the library and friends houses, and loaning him the lawn mower so he can go around the neighborhood earning money (next summer we’ll get to let him use the car to drive to a “real” job…oh, joy).

  4. Wow! I forgot how crazy busy summer days have to be with a little one. I’m just working too much and reading everything I can about photography…

  5. What a perfect little ‘beach’ – ha! It is going to get interesting to keep them busy all Summer. We’ll be at the pool at our club A LOT that’s for sure!

Love the shots of her on the rope. Cool!

  11. How sweet is this? I so enjoyed watching her at play…and the dog family too!!! Sometimes I wish my daughter was a wee one again…but then, I wouldn’t be able to love my grandkids now either. A so very joyful post you shared.

Thanks for popping by yesterday, I’m trying to catch up with all my visitors this morning. The baby turtle release was a grand success…I’ll have photos of this event next week on my blog.
