Aloha Friday Follow – Father’s Day Edition

Happy !

From Kailani at An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays let’s take it easy on posting, too. Ask a simple question…nothing that requires a lengthy response. It’s a great way to make new blogging friends!

This weekend is Father’s Day – so of course I have to ask:

Do you have anything extra special planned for Father’s Day?

Since it’s going to be Hazy, Hot and Humid this weekend, we’re planning on utilizing the grill to it’s fullest potential.  Which means something extra yummy for Father’s Day.  Princess Nagger has been ‘practicing’ making scrambled eggs – she’s getting really good at it, so she’s planning on surprising Dada with breakfast she cooks all by herself (with semi-adult supervision with me standing by and possibly manning the toaster while she cooks the eggs).

No big plans other than relaxing and trying to keep cool – how about you?

About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.

  1. We will be having turkey with all the dressings. That’s what he wants so I am going to go ahead and make it. I told my adult children that next year they must start taking care of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day! It will be the six of us for dinner. Hubby, me, son, sons best girl, daughter & SIL.
    Oh Charlie & Skye too!

  2. I totally forgot Father’s Day was this weekend. Hubby reminded me two days ago. Nope no plans. Hubby has to work!

  4. there is some kinda conspiracy going on around here…not sure what it is…think theyare going to surpise me….

  5. We may be going strawberry picking one day and possibly going to use our Six Flags passes on Sunday. Trying to get my parents to go with us Sunday since we have free passes.

  6. I don’t have one damn thing planned this weekend. Well, not for Father’s Day. My SIL gets here today so we will spend the weekend entertaining her.. ugh.

  7. No plans for father’s day that include the father. But that kinda happens when you get divorced. The kids will spend the day with dad so it works out nice for me!

  8. Well, tonight we are having a family dinner for my dad. Just the regular craziness that happens when the Dunn’s get together!

  9. Our plans are about the same – I’m going to make Beloved his Very Favorite Breakfast of All Time – Eggs Benedict – and let him lounge around to his hearts content until he’s ready to grill some ribs for dinner (he enjoys it, and would be disappointed if he couldn’t).

  10. Today was our get out and do something we have never done day. We got up early and got out of the house before 8 and we still didn’t get to do something we haven’t ever done. But we gave it a good try. We headed to the zoo. Never been to this zoo and we have been here two years. There was a zoo outside the zoo. For blocks all around the area and we had a hard time just getting near the entrance to the zoo. We don’t watch TV so we didn’t know what a big deal the College World Series is going on and that was taking all the police and thousands of people in that area. We decided that since we live right near we will wait till the series if finished and then try again. Darn.

  11. Hi! New here from FF. Just wanted to say hello. Sadly, we don’t have any Father’s Day plans. We don’t have kids and my dad lives a plane ride away in Florida. Grandpa has passed and we have a weird relationship with my FIL. Sorry for TMI. Ha ha!

  12. No, plans. We never do much on Father’s day. Next week I’ll be driving into the city to go to the cemetery with my daughter to put flowers on my dad’s grave like we do every year. Sometimes I get Father’s Day cards from my kids because in all reality I’m the one that raised them their whole life.

  13. I can plan anything for Father’s Day because we need to go to my in law house (who ignores us when we are there but if we don’t go he is angry).

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

    Enjoy the weekend.

  14. Nope, I ask if he wanted to do anything & he said he wasn’t sure..So I’m not sure yet but more than likely we will do something.

  15. A big Happy Fathers day to all the Fathers out there. It isn’t Fathers Day until September over here in Australia, so I have a little while yet before deciding what to do for it this year.

  16. I’m heading over to my parents (my Drunken Midget isn’t speaking to me so I’m not sure if she’ll go or not) to see my dad, mom, bro, sis-in-law and nephews. We will probably end up ordering pizza or something. Nothing too exciting.

  17. Took my future husband and his two daughters to see Toy Story 3. It was cute and the three year olds first movie. Hope you had a good one!

  18. We always splurge and get Mr. Fairway a pair of shorts at J. Crew. This year’s pair is robin’s-egg blue. He’s got to look good on the links, ya know…
