There are quite a number of us who were unable to jump on the bandwagon of BlogHer for one reason or another…but just because we’re not there partying like Rock Stars doesn’t mean we have to miss out! The brilliant minds of Pensieve and Musings of a Housewife have joined together to set up Blog Hop ’09 so we can party in our jammies and meet cool new bloggy friends from the comfort of our own homes. So a little about me…I was born at a very early age…wait, that’s probably going to take way too long…how about the short version:

I was blessed with a Miracle Baby and chose to leave Corporate America to take on the challenge of being a Stay At Home Mom…little did I know how much work that could entail, but I wouldn’t change it for the world, nor could I ask for a better child to have made those changes for. Well, OK, some days I could…but I wouldn’t! If you have some extra time on your hands, you can read about the Road to My Miracle Baby in the left sidebar.

I have a unique sense of humor, and am eternally optimistic (my dad said my optimism would get me in trouble some day…I’m still waiting…) which balances out my pessimistic husband. He keeps me grounded, and I keep him believing in dreams.

You’ll usually find me referring to my hubby as ‘Hovering Hubby’, and my daughter as ‘Princess Nagger’. Just to clarify, the nicknames fit perfectly. 😉 Hovering Hubby is a Program Director for 5 different programs at a Career Institute – so when he’s not at work he’s working from home, which gives me some leeway on my blogging time. 😉 Princess Nagger will be entering 1st grade this year – the time has flown by way too fast so far! She keeps me on my toes – and tends to be too smart for our own good sometimes… 😉

As for me, I have a myriad of interests ranging from a creative crafty side to the enjoyment of reading a good book or watching some of my favorite shows, to getting creative out in my garden growing unique plants and trees – whose fruit will eventually be turned into wine or jam. I love to entertain and flex my cooking skills with creativity in that arena as well. Luckily our friends are great guinea pigs for new recipes I like to attempt at will… 🙂

Here’s a picture of our family – it’s actually from a few years ago, I just realized we’ve been lax on getting new ones taken, so that will be going on the ‘to do’ list for this year!

  4. I like your lil caption to the left.. I too had trouble till I switced to firefox, all problems solved. All the parts to my blog came back too. YOU have a beautiful family and congrats on your blessings of that lil girl.

  19. Yes, staying at home is a lot of work, and everyone always acts like it isn't, maybe to assuage some guilt over not doing it themselves. I wish I could do it – very rewarding, and the most important job in the world!
