Toni, from A Daily Dose of Toni has this great weekly ritual of posting Favorite Quotes – the quotes that people come up with are very inspiring, so if you haven’t had a chance to check out Quotable Sunday, now’s your chance! 😉

This week I have chosen quotes about ‘Nature’…it’s that time of year when we’ll be venturing outside more and more, planting gardens and flowers and less time parked in front of our computers. Well, at least on those days that Mother Nature bestows nice weather on us, unlike the rain we’ve been inundated with this weekend…but I don’t mind the rain so much – I look at it as Mother Nature doing the hard work of watering all my plants for me! 😉 Enjoy!

“The sky is the daily bread of the eyes.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Nature is a self-made machine, more perfectly automated than any automated machine. To create something in the image of nature is to create a machine, and it was by learning the inner working of nature that man became a builder of machines.”
Eric Hoffer

“He that plants trees loves others besides himself.”

Thomas Fuller

“Nature is an endless combination and repetition of a very few laws.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

“The wind, a sightless laborer, whistles at his task.”
William Wordsworth

“But mighty Nature bounds as from her birth;
The sun is in the heavens, and life on earth:
Flowers in the valley, splendor in the beam,
Health on the gale, and freshness in the stream.”
Lord Byron

“All Nature wears one universal grin.”
Henry Fielding
