This week’s theme is ‘Kids in Costume’ – these are pictures of the Princess Nagger for her first 5 Halloween’s:

First Halloween:
Second Halloween:
Third Halloween:

Yes, I did indeed use the exact same costume 3 years in a row…I figured why not since she didn’t seem to mind, and since she’s always been petite so it fit her better each year – well, except the last year…that might have been pushing it just a smidge since it was a size 12-24 months.

Fourth Halloween:
Fifth Halloween:

This year will be her sixth year – she wants to go as the Tooth Fairy…she already has plans on wearing her purple tutu and just needs to get a crown. I’ll either hunt down or modify a bucket in the shape of a tooth – should be interesting! 🙂

  1. My daughter was a lady bug for her first Halloween also. She was crawling so it looked good. I actually use to make costumes back in the day (the internet was young….).

  2. Love that she was the ladybug for 3 years! And how creative is she, to want to be the tooth fairy??! Good luck with the bucket hunt.

  3. Love all the picture! I love the ladybug Costume — that one is too cute! Thanks for sharing!

  4. So cute. I love having kids so I can dress them up for halloween. I make all their costumes, and every year they try to make it harder I swear.

  5. I thought I was seeing things in those first few pics. I thought to myself, there’s no way she’d put the poor kid in the same costume year after year. But yep, you did it!

I have to say, you made up for it in the next two years!

  6. All of those costumes are adorable! I love how you can watch her grow over the years in the lady bug costume.

  7. As long it fits her all right! Plus she’s sooo cute whenever. 😀 But the fairy princess costume is a sure favorite; look at her smile.

  8. Cute costumes! I especially love the pirate one!

I understand the reuse of the costume…I didn’t even do a costume for mine until she was three. I just didn’t bother.

  9. Love the costumes, especially the re-runs. Can’t wait to see what you come up with this year.

  10. I was able to do the same thing with my son for 3 years and I’m so glad because the costume was adorable!

She looks so darn cute every stinkin’ year. Can’t wait to see this year!

  11. how cute! and i’m sure she’ll make an absolutely adorable tooth fairy

i wish i could recycle andrew’s halloween costumes, but this kid grows like a weed. there’s no way he’d be able to wear the same size again.

  12. That’s smart using the same costume 3x. I thought about using Graham’s twice but I didn’t go through with it, maybe Elliot will wear it next year.

  13. Her pirate face is darling – and I love the tooth fairy idea. Very original, so you probably won’t be able to find a tooth-shaped bucket. Just guessing. 🙂

  14. Hahaha She is just too stinkin CUTE!! Love that you used the same costume 3 years in a row. She made a very adorable ladybug. =)
