mommy moments

Chris over at The Mommy Journey has been having a fun meme running all about Mommy Moments. If you’d like to join in, head on over to The Mommy Journey and add your link to Mr. Linky. I’m looking forward to once again checking out all the adorable pictures of all the cute little munchkins! 🙂

This week’s theme is ‘Sibling/Cousins Bonding’…Since Princess Nagger was a true Miracle, she is our One and Only…in addition to that, my parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, siblings are all istill n Seattle where I grew up – with one sister and her family in Iowa – so we haven’t had the privilege of spending lots of time with them.

Because of that, a lot of the pictures are the Princess Nagger with one of my best friend’s kids – her middle child is 3 months older than Savannah, and we used to hang out at their house every weekend to play cards – until they sadly moved to Louisiana. After they moved, we spent their first Christmas in LA with them – and the last few years we’ve spent the 4th of July week with them to celebrate Christmas in July – last summer my friend, Christy, was pregnant with their third child – we were hoping she’d have her baby while we were down there, but her baby held out until a few weeks after we left. We’re looking forward to meeting her this summer. 🙂

My sister, her hubby and their two boys drove from Iowa to attend our House Warming party just before Princess Nagger’s first birthday – the pictures I took that week of Princess Nagger with her cousins were lost in my hard drive crash, but I did manage to save this one picture of Princess Nagger with my sister’s youngest son in 2003 – she was almost 11 months old:

Later that year our friends moved to Louisiana – so we drove down to spend Christmas with them:

Can’t forget about the Mardi Gras beads:

Uncle Robby is making too much noise with his firecrackers…so we’re hanging out in the shop with Aunt Christy…still too loud:

December 2007 we finally got to take a trip out to Seattle to spend some time with my family to celebrate mine and my brother’s birthdays – we had the pleasure of staying with my brother and his wife, who have twin girls that are one year older than the Princess Nagger – the girls had so much fun playing together that week-and-a-half we were there:
Princess Nagger and her cousins, The Twins

We went to Downtown Seattle to get pictures taken with the Macy’s Santa – a tradition the Twins do every year. The big thing is the ‘snow’ inside the building, marking the start to the ‘official’ Christmas Season. The girls all waited anxiously for the snow to start falling:

And then it began…

Princess Nagger pointed out the horse to Dada to see if he was scared…my brother, always the kidder, pretended to punch the horse for my hubby’s benefit, which resulted in major giggles from the girls:

After we saw Santa and were walking back through the store, Princess Nagger and one of the Twins pretended to be mannequins:
Near the Seattle Center, we stopped to ride the Merry Go Round:

Back to Louisiana July 2008:
Princess Nagger spent 90% of the time that week on the trampoline…in her jammies…

  1. There were so many great pictures here, I wouldn’t even know where to begin commenting. That’s one beautiful group of kids and grownups, that’s for sure. I LOVE the pic of PN with the Hulk gloves on!

    Justine 😮 )

  2. So backing up to where Princess Nagger is a mannequin. If she was really still and someone walked past and she moved, I would have paid any amount of moment to see the look of shock on their face. That’s just wrong isn’t it??? 😉
