Princess Nagger Funny…and an Update

The Princess Nagger is starting to feel better, thank you all for your well wishes. She did, however, stay home today because she is still having trouble with some pain, and keeps complaining that she has a sore throat – I’m hoping it’s still all tied into her tooth issue and not a cold on top of everything else.

Our furnace is still not working, hubby disconnected the motor and took it to where he works – they have a class that deals with HVAC, so the equipment there was perfect to test it out. It appeared to be working, they replaced a capacitor, so he came home an hour or so ago and reconnected it to see if the furnace would kick on. No luck. So now we have a ‘professional’ scheduled to show up here by 4:00…hopefully we’ll have heat tonight…fingers crossed!

Meanwhile, Princess Nagger and I have been huddling on the couch trying to keep warm under a blanket, watching mindless Princess Nagger shows, when this interesting conversation popped up:

Princess Nagger: “Mama? Mama?”

Me: “Yes, honey?”

PN: “Do you think I should get a hobby?”

BWAHAHAHA! (seriously, I started laughing so hard that I decided I better type this conversation on my laptop as it unfolds…)

Me: “What makes you say that, silly goose?”

PN: “Well, because I don’t have one.”

Me (still laughing): “What kind of ‘hobby’ did you have in mind?”

PN (with a very serious look on her face): “I’m going to have to think about that…”

Me (still laughing): “Let me know if you think of something, ‘k?”

PN (watching me as I type on my screen): “Uhhhh, what was that ‘k’ for?”

Me: “That’s an abbreviated ‘OK’…”

PN: “HA!”

PN (still watching me type): “Hey!”

Guess I’m going to have to make sure I don’t type what she says while she’s watching the screen since she can read really well…now she’s just making a bunch of funny sounds to be goofy and I can’t come up with the ‘words’ to type… 😉

PN: “Boy, that last one’s a long one!”

Me: “Yes, it is…”

PN: “How did you do that? And why?”

Me: “Because I’m trying to type what this conversation is to share with my bloggy friends…”

PN: “Bloggy friends? AHAHAHAHA! You’re so silly, Mama!” (pauses to watch me type) “OK, OK, great…great…now let’s…wait, when are you going to end this thing?”

Me: “Right now, honey, right now…” 😉

I’ve taken a quick break out in the Summer House to ply Hovering Hubby for more deets on the furnace – it looks like he won’t be going back to work today, and mentioned out of the blue that he was planning on taking tomorrow off because of an extra band practice tomorrow evening for an event they’re playing at this weekend…OooohKaaaay…not sure if he’s still ‘planning’ to do that, and it’s so nice he finally decided to mention it to me (rather than do what he did last week and ‘announce’ it in the morning…*snicker!*) Guess I’ll have to readjust my mental plans/schedule and hope for the best! (grin!)

So if you notice my presence online today is sporadic at best, you’ll know why…so much for getting caught up any time soon! >sigh!< style="font-style: italic;">will be going to school tomorrow…I’ll be looking forward to those 3 hours in the afternoon for some peace and quiet…well, that is if hubby does go to work tomorrow…otherwise I’ll have to wait until Wednesday afternoon for that peace and quiet…heh, heh!

Alrighty then, I’m being paged on the intercom by the Princess Nagger requesting my presence… See y’all back on the blogosphere later! 😉

P.S. What’s up with Blogger today? I lost like 20 followers between this morning’s post and this one…and noticed other people are complaining about the same issue…things that make you go ‘Hmmmmmm!’

About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.

@Christine: Thanks, Christine – it’s good to know it’s Blogger and not that 20 people suddenly decided they just didn’t like my blog anymore! LOL! 🙂

@I am Harriet: Blogger glitch…a sucky one at that! 😉

@nikkicrumpet: LOL Nikki! She mentioned it again last night – wanted to know if I had any ‘suggestions’ for a hobby for her…I told her to think of one and let me know… 😉 We had ‘temporary’ heat last night, thankfully…the furnace guy made it so that the fan was on all the time, so it would blow warm air, then cold air, then warm air again…but at least it took the major chill off the air! 🙂

@blueviolet: Hopefully replacing the computer board will do the trick – otherwise I guess we’ll end up having to get the furnace replaced. We should know one way or the other shortly! 😉 We’re thankful we have the pellet stove so we could at least have SOME heat in the living room…if we had a regular fireplace, we would have been roasting marshmallows! (grin!!)

@Firefly: Awwww, thanks, Firefly! 🙂 I’m glad she’s feeling better, too! 🙂 Thankfully we don’t have to feel ‘singled out’ in the lost followers issue…hopefully it’ll be straightened out soon!!

@Elle: Hopefully the furnace guy will be done soon…and that the repair is successful. I tell you what – I was sure wishing I had a Snugglie the past couple of days! 🙂 I’m curious as to what hobby she’ll decide on, too…I’ll keep you posted! 😉

@Heather: LOL Heather! I’ve done that before…it’s frustrating when a glitch happens and your funny thought is gone! 😉 Getting our heat back looks very promising this morning… 😉

@Nicole: Thanks, Nicole! 🙂 So far it’s looking good for some peace and quiet this afternoon… Hope you get some, too! 😉

  14. Ha, the kid needs a hobby, I love it! I’ve been away from the blogosphere too, it’s so much tougher to keep up with the husband home.

  15. @Casey: What’s really funny is I have no idea why she came up with the fact she needs a hobby…she did come up with one, I’ll have to blog that conversation, too… 😉 It is hard to get caught up with the husband home, isn’t it? I’m swimming upstream right now trying to play catch up, but he’s going to be playing a gig at a men’s retreat Friday night and Saturday morning, so I’ll have some quiet catch-up time…(grin!)
