About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.

  1. sUh oh, not the shoes already! My dog ate a nice pair of sneakers on his first week home but they were my husband’s so it’s ok. πŸ™‚
    s
The crackers man looks like Wilson from Cast Away!

  2. That is the cutest puppy EVER!s I love blue merle.s πŸ™‚ s So is it a Collie?s I grew up with Collies and the breed will always have a special place in my heart.s

  3. That’s a lot of pictures. When I saw the dog in the boot I thought: ‘Well that’s creative use of a boot!’
The next picture I thought: ‘Ah, she must have put the dog in there. Cute.’
The third picture looked like your daughter was playing rummicub, but then I saw: no, those are some kind of cookies.
After that I got kind of confused.
Then it hit me: the pictures tell a story! I only have to discover it.
It’s quite a challenge, so I’ll have to get back to syou.

  4. What great photos!s Your puppy is absolutely adorable!s And I love the smiley out of crackers!

  5. So cute. The puppy is adorable. Is it driving you bananas yet? I hope those aren’t your good shoes she’s chewing. πŸ™

@Anonymous: LOL! I made sure my ‘good’ shoes aren’t available for his little teeth…the black pair he’s wrestling with and sitting on are my ‘junk’ pair that just get me from point A to point B around the house when I have to put shoes on really fast…they already have teeth marks in them from a previous puppy! LOL!! πŸ˜‰

The Little Princess did a great job creating ‘Wilson’ with her Cheez-It’s, didn’t she? πŸ˜‰ LOL!!

@Lindsey: Thank you so much, Lindsey! He’s a Sheltie – which some people consider ‘miniature collies’, though they are each an individual breed. His ‘official’ breed is Blue Merle Sheltie. πŸ™‚ Collies are absolutely awesome dogs – such a smart breed! πŸ˜‰

@Harper: LOL! Thanks, Harper! I love Australian Shepherds, too – they are awesome dogs and have similar characteristic traits to the Sheltie…just a different breed and bigger… πŸ˜‰ I think as puppies the Blue Merle Shelties get mistaken for Australian Shepherds more often because of their coloring. πŸ™‚

@Relimom: LOL Relimom! I didn’t mean to make Wordless Wednesday Work for you… πŸ˜‰

@Mrs. Bear: Thank you, Mrs. Bear! So far my sanity is still intact… heh, heh!s In fact, he’s curled up sleeping in my lap at this very moment! πŸ™‚ I’ve been amazed at how quickly he’s adapted – he’s not as interested in grabbing random stuff to chew on, he has been having fun with the doggie toys instead…and chasing Elvis the big dork dog, as well as Norman, the cat… πŸ˜‰

The shoes are my old beat up ones I have handy for when I have to put shoes on really fast…in fact, they’re the ones that already have teeth marks in them from a previous puppy…LOL!! My ‘good’ ones are out of his reach… πŸ˜‰

@Anne: He is a cutie, isn’t he? He’s fitting in great – even our other dog is loving him, now, they play really well together. It’s funny to see the big dog trying not to trip over the puppy! πŸ˜‰ Our cat is still a little leery, but putting up with him…hasn’t clawed him yet! πŸ˜‰
