Say it FORWARD – Week 1

Mom Blogs

I was just over at Kristen of La Dolce Vita‘s blog, and saw this cool new thing that 5 Minutes for Mom is doing: ‘Say it FORWARD’! This is a chance to showcase some of your loyal commentors… How great is this? It’s going to be fun showcasing some of my loyal commentors, that’s for sure! A great way to say Thank You!!

Like Kristen said, in the blogosphere it is affirmation that someone actually likes your blog so much that they take time to leave you a note! I know I love to open my email and see that there are comments left on my posts…those comments really make my day! I think most bloggers love to receive comments!

I think for this first week I would like to thank and recognize my Top 5 Commentors as noted by my ‘Top Commentor’ widget over there to the right… They really bring a smile to my face with their kind words and fun comments. This is a weekly thing, usually on Fridays, but I’m late to the party as usual! LOL!! I’ll be sure to post on Friday next week… So comment away! πŸ™‚

First I would like to thank Nicole from Juicy Alligator.

She always makes time to stop by and leave a comment, and always has such kind words for me! Her blog cracks me up, she’s funny, witty, sincere and totally crazy…just like me! πŸ˜‰ Thank you, Nicole, for just being you!

Next I would like to thank Alicia from Yaya Stuff

She and I have recently become acquainted in the blogosphere, but hit it off right from the start! She’s sweet and funny, and always finds time to leave a kind word…or at least laugh at me! πŸ˜‰ Thank you, Yaya, you are a very special friend! πŸ™‚

Next, I would like to thank Chris from What’s in Sissy’s Head?

Haha, she doesn’t have a badge…yet…so I’m sticking her picture on here…(snicker!!) I was drawn to Chris’s blog by her title, as well as the description of it being a ‘Smash up of what goes on inside (her) head’…she has quite the funny ‘smash up’ going on, plus she’s a major LOST fanatic like I am… She always stops by and leaves a friendly funny comment…thank you, Chris!

Next up is one of my very first Bloggy Friends, Elizabeth – aka blueviolet – from Nut in a Nutshell:

Every day I can count on a sincere, funny, heartfelt comment from Elizabeth! She and I think a lot alike, she’s posted things that could have come from my brain…sort of like a long-lost twin in bloggyland! πŸ˜‰ Elizabeth, I admire you and enjoy your comments and your blog daily – you always make my day!

And finally, last but certainly not least, is Firefly from FireflyShop – I know her name, but I love fireflies, so I like calling her Firefly… πŸ˜‰

Another one of my very first Bloggy Friends, Firefly has always had a kind word and heartfelt comment. I love checking out her blog daily, you never know what she’s going to write about! πŸ™‚ Thank you, Firefly, you light up my days! πŸ˜‰

Make sure you click over and visit all these wonderful ladies – I’m sure you will enjoy getting to know them – or probably already do! πŸ˜‰

Ladies, please display this Loyal Commenter badge with pride.

If you are selected as a Loyal Commenter either by our site or another blog, please display this Loyal Commenter badge with pride. Also feel free to give the badge to the commenters that you select each week.

About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.

  1. Thank you! That’s so nice! And don’t think my comments are ending because you gave me an award. You can’t get rid of me; I’m stuck like glue.

  2. @Yaya: You’re very welcome, Yaya! Thank YOU for your comments, they mean a lot! πŸ™‚

@blueviolet: HAHAHA! See? There you go, making me laugh again! πŸ˜‰ Whew! Glad to know that you’re stuck to me like glue…it would be a very sad day not to see a comment from you! πŸ˜‰

  3. Aren’t loyal commenters the best? A few of the ladies you mentioned are some of my best commenters, so I can second your nomination of them! πŸ™‚

  4. @Stesha: It is a very cool award – so glad 5 Minutes for Mom created it, I love to show appreciation to my commentors!

@Lolli: Loyal commentors definitely are the best, Lolli! You’re right up there on the list, too… πŸ˜‰ The ones I nominated for this week are all over the place leaving comment love as they go – I don’t know how they do it! I’m way behind on my commenting… Hopefully I’ll get caught up soon! πŸ™‚

@Firefly: You’re very welcome, Firefly! You deserve it! πŸ™‚ You always make my day! πŸ™‚

  5. Hi Stacy!

You have not only made my day, you’ve made my week *big smiles*

Thank you for recognizing my blog–I sure love to stop by and visit. You have such a spirited voice when you write–you crack me up, and though I’ve not met you in person, when I read your blog it feels like we’re meeting for coffee (or wine) and you’re just talking about the days events–funny and personal–love it! Have a super Sunday–you know I’ll be back for more sunshine and laughs tomorrow! (will put the button on my blog–and I will say it forward soon, too…)

  6. that is just a lovely idea!!!! where do you find the comment counter so you can keep track of comments? i noticed that on your blog before and have been meaning to ask!!! thanks fr stopping by my blog and leaving such nice comments – you’re right – they are such a great boost!!!

  7. @Nicole: Awww Nicole, thank you! *blushing!* You always have such kind words! Once again you have totally made my day! πŸ™‚ I love coming to your blog for the same reasons you love coming to mine – it’s like we’re chatting over coffee (or wine…*giggle!*) and as if we’ve been friends forever! (HUGZ!)

@annie kelleher: Isn’t it a great idea? πŸ™‚ I found the comment counter on another blog – it has a handy-dandy ‘click here to get one’ at the bottom…it’s really easy, you put in your pertinent information, and it puts it on your Blogger automatically! πŸ™‚ I just changed mine to show the Top 10 instead of just the Top 5…that way when I play the ‘Say it FORWARD again on Friday, I’ll have more to choose from… πŸ˜‰ I always enjoy your comments, Annie! Thanks for being a ‘regular’ here, too! πŸ™‚

@The Rambler It is, isn’t it? 5 Minutes for Mom sure come up with some great ideas! πŸ™‚

  8. Wow, Thanks so much!
You know I really need to make me one of those badges! Someone gave me a link to a free photo editing program I can download but I am terribly inept and most of that kind of stuff and had trouble downloading it. I will get something figured out though. I may just have to go buy photoshop. I always have great intentions but don’t always get things done right away.
I saw someone else had one of these Say It Forward posts up and I think it is a great idea.
I don’t usually do the themed posts because I am to scatterbrained to commit to making sure I get them posted each week.
Hope you are having a great weekend.
Thanks again for thinking of me and I will keep the comments coming. I love reading your blog.

  9. @Chris: You’re very welcome, Chris! If you have an image you want to use, I’d be happy to make a badge for you (free). I already have PhotoShop, so I’d be happy to help you out! πŸ™‚ I sometimes have trouble remembering the weekly things…so I end up posting them at the last minute, or the day after – I figure better late than never! LOL!! Though I’m finally figuring out how do ‘post ahead’ for the weekly things, so hopefully I won’t be lagging behind the rest of the class…heh, heh!! I like my ‘regular’ posts to be more spontaneous, so sometimes they won’t get posted until later in the day… πŸ˜‰ I appreciate your comments – I love reading your blog, too! πŸ™‚
