Toni from A Daily Dose of Toni started this great weekly ritual of posting Favorite Quotes – the quotes that people come up with are very inspiring, so if you haven’t had a chance to check out Quotable Sunday, now’s your chance! 😉 Since these are the first quotes for 2009, I’ve decided to focus them on ‘Determination’. What with all the New Year Resolutions people are bantering about, maybe some of the quotes will help keep the determination at the forefront and we’ll all successfully accomplish our resolutions this year! 😉

In case you don’t know what Quotable Sunday is, here are the basic and easy-to-follow rules…come on and join in, it’s fun! 😉

The rules (for newbies)
~Go to your blog and post one or more of your favorite quotes.
~Come back here and sign mister linky with the link to your post and then go visit the other participants and leave some comment love.
~Spread the word of course…we want lots of Quotes to read 🙂

Here are my quotes for the week:

“There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” Unknown

“There’s no substitute for hard work.” Thomas Edison

The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.” Vince Lombardi
