So today is ‘Day 1’ of my New Year Challenge of being a WiiFit Mommy! 😉 We bought a Wii a few months ago, and I searched and searched until I finally was able to get a WiiFit…it is hilariously funny to do, and you find muscles that you didn’t know you had! 😉 I joined up with the WiiFit Mommies

tomorrow night that is going to be so much fun! I’ve already told my hubby I’ll need to be on my computer – uninterrupted – between 8 and 10 tomorrow night! (evil grin!)
At any rate, I haven’t stepped on the WiiFit for…ahem…about 2 months. GAH! Ah well, the New Year, New You challenge is a great motivator! My biggest challenge is balance – I have our almost 200 year old house working against me – the floors are sloped! All the floors in our house slope inwards…if you have anything round (balls, markers, pens, crayons) I can guarantee that they will roll towards the center of the house. That’s how my Little Princess loses small round objects to the abyss under the couch…LOL!!
I love the games on WiiFit (and how it thinks I’m much younger than I am…heh, heh!), it’s been a lot of fun working towards unlocking the next levels. I attempted a few Yoga poses, but because of the sloped floors (yeah, we’ll go with that excuse) I tend to wobble too much and can’t hold the pose. I noticed that several people mention doing the Yoga poses against the wall – since we don’t have any available wall space (in view of the TV), I suppose I can try it with a chair…so long as I use one of the chairs that don’t have wheels on them! 😉
Since I’m just re-starting my WiiFit moments, thanks to WiiFit Mommies, next Friday’s ‘Fitness Friday’ will be much more informative than this week! 😉 Stay tuned for my WiiFit Progress reports!
