I don’t know about you, but I used to be one of those that would get up at the crack of dawn and hit the stores the day after Christmas. You know, to take advantage of all those 75% off or more deals, get more decorations for next year (as if I need more decorations!) and even get a head-start on getting some gifts for people for next year at a discount. Not anymore. No patience. No budget. I’ll just say “No” to hectic shopping, thank you! Sure, there are deals to be had, but at what price, really? My sanity. I need my sanity. If I went totally insane, who would take care of my Little Princess? My hubby wouldn’t be able to manage, he’s the Absent Minded Professor after all…nope, gotta keep my sanity at all costs! >;o)~
Instead, it’s been a very relaxing, pleasant, ‘do nothing’ kind of day today. Watching my Little Princess thoroughly enjoying her new toys…taking my sweet time reading my favorite bloggers and posting more comments than usual…procrastinating on getting some web updates done…a nice, quiet, no-nonsense day. Soon enough it will be time to take down all the pretty decorations and the tree and get back to a ‘regular’ routine. But for now, I can bask in the glow of the magic that still lingers.
So to all you insane crazy brave souls out there that decided to dive into the mega crowds of After Christmas Specials and discounts, I salute you! With my eggnog. Wait, I’m going to need to add Kahlua or Rum to that, first! (grin!)

I use to go out to grab deals but did the same stayed home and watched Will play w/ his toys, well I had to play w/ him also.

LOL! Sure, why not? 😉 I thought it was so cool, especially since her favorite animal is giraffe. Her Grandpa (aka Papa) gave me some money to make sure there were gifts under the tree for her from him…I thought that was so sweet – he was happy to hear that ‘his’ presents to her were a huge hit! 😎
I was actually surprised at now ‘nicely’ she opened her gifts – I had to tell her she didn’t have to stand up to ‘pose’ with them for pictures, I was just going to be snapping away and picking the ones that turned out the best…she even wadded up the wrapping paper and put it over by the door where we had started a ‘burn pile’ pile after she opened each one…heh, heh!

LOL! Yes, I do feel a kind of an ‘itch’ thinking about those lovely deals… But I’m resisting…as…much…as…I…can! LOL! I’m sure there will still be some great deals out there next week, so I can wait… 😉
Now that we aren’t kids anymore, it kinda makes sense to stay home and play with our kids and their new toys…you know, under the guise that we’re playing with them to make them happy, when in fact playing with them and their new toys makes us happy! 😉
