(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Cute Angel Christmas ornament my Little Princess made at school and brought home yesterday:
A closer look:

A huge paper ornament she made in class – it’s not actually hanging on the tree, but I did ‘prop’ it on there to take a picture! 😉 And yes, she wrote her name and did the swirls all by herself! 🙂

Hard to tell in the picture, but these are cute blown glass mittens we got while visiting my family in Seattle last year:

We started off with a gold-and-silver tree, but over the past few years incorporated each of our favorite colors – green for me, cobalt blue for hubby, and purple for the Little Princess. We have also been adding Swedish ornaments the past couple of years as well, as a remembrance to my Grandfather and Great-Grandparents. And the one red Christmas ball on the tree (made by my hubby for our daughter in 2005) will be the only red one on the tree – to keep it ‘special’, and indicating our daughter as the ‘heart’ of our family. 😉

  3. Thank you very much! The tree is no longer my OCD attempt at ‘perfection’, it’s now grown character and more sentiment and I love it! 😉

    Enjoy your Christmas in OK with family, you deserve a break! 🙂 Good luck with the back half of your move – you’ll be close to our neck of the woods, we’re not too far, my FIL lives in MD…before you know it, you’ll be all settled in and enjoying this next chapter of your life! 😀
